I went a couple of years ago, and it was packed. Couldn’t move! Actually, it’s possibly better to go with a 7 month old because they can be held. It might be a nightmare with a toddler! I’ve heard there’s a nice christmas thing in Kew Gardens, that might be more peaceful?

It’s had very mixed reviews. On the negative side, huge queues, indifferent staff and not any sort of Wonderland! I’d be inclined to choose a smaller event and Kew Gardens sounds lovely.

Hyde park is good fun but it is much better to go on a weekday evening than on the weekends which are just mayhem.

If you are looking for something more low key have a look at Syon Park’s enchanted woodland (it’s not far from Kew). http://www.enchantedwoodland.com/

It is absolutly magical 🙂

I enjoyed Winter Wonderland when I went at the end of November a couple of years ago. Last year we went on the weekend in late Dec and it was RAMMED!! Miserably crowded. We are actually going back again this year to ice skate and I’m a little nervous of shoving myself through the crowd again. As PP said, go on a weekday, will probably be much more pleasant.

@Steampunkbride: That’s disappointing news. I’m going to make a pledge to myself to get to the Birmingham German market next year if not this year.
