I’m not in the Madison area, but I am planning a wedding in Wausau next year. We have to wait until my FH’s brother returns from his deployment.  I am pretty early in the planning process, but planning a long distance wedding is challenging…

Baraboo Bluffs in October should be gorgous.

I am planning a wedding in Milwaukee from Mexico City, so I can definitely relate to the difficulties in long-distance planning!  We are having our reception at Lakefront Brewery, which we are absolutely thrilled about.  The only downside is that they have plastic chairs, which do not fit under the typical folding or banquet chair covers.  The only chair covers that fit are by a lady who made them specifically for the Lakefront Chairs.  Unfortunately it would cost us $1400 to rent them (includes the covers, bows, cleaning, set-up, and take-down).

In reality, this is a pretty good deal.  I’m just wondering if would be better to rent new chairs instead of dealing with the covers.  Does anyone know of a place we could rent 300 chairs for $1400 or less?

 Thanks!

I’m getting married in Milwaukee at the Wyndham. We got most of our vendors by going to their wedding show! A free one!

We’re using A Personal Touch DJ.

Just Cakes and Pasteries for our cake.

I’m getting chair covers for $3.25 from a lady in Cederburg.  I can’t remember the name.

We’re using Rose View Photography.

It’s a Febuary 2010 wedding and thus has an elegant winter theme, of navy, silver and ivory.

I’m getting married in Madison on 8.29.09. The ceremony will be at Allen Centennial Gardens (on the UW campus) and the reception will be at the Orpheum Theatre on State St. If anyone is interested in vendors, I’d be happy to share. We’re doing a pie and cheesecake buffet in lieu of a cake.. Georgia at Hubbard Ave. Diner in Middleton is the mastermind behind that.

Also, for those of you looking for a venue – I highly recommend the Orpheum Theatre. The staff has been amazing to work with and has provided tons of insight at every step. Also, the whole venue is ours from 2:00p to 2:00a!

Does anyone know where we may be able to rent a blackjack and/or poker table? We’re doing a loose 1920s theme, and are planning to have some gaming in the mezzanine at the Orpheum.

IzzyBride – I think you’d be much better off just renting new chairs. I know A to Z Rent-All in Madison rents white chairs for less than $4 each.
