I’m planning to do a sort of wish bowl as my guest book, as many people are doing these days. On one site that sells them, I saw one shaped like a treasure chest. It was called "Treasure Always." I really love the idea of having one shaped like a treasure chest, and found a neat little box at Hobby Lobby that I could decorate that’d be perfect.
Here’s my question. I want to have a sign by it explaining what it is. There will be someone in the area watching the gift table and the wish bowl, but I’d rather they not have to explain it over and over. So can anyone help me think of a cute way to phrase the explanation? I’m totally blanking on it. Something along the lines of asking for well wishes, advice, or memories of the bride and groom, and we’ll treasure them forever. Any ideas?

Here are 2 poems you can have in a frame:
Please leave us a note, please drop us a line, add advice on marriage, to stand the test of time
Instead of a guestbook stuck in a drawer, ____and ____ thought they would do more. Please write them a note, a wish, or greeting. On the _______ to ______ it will make for good reading! Or if you prefer, some advice would be nice, on how to stay married and keep the spice.

Thanks! But what goes in the second set of blanks on that second poem? I’m assuming it’s the bride and groom’s names for the first set, correct?

I’m guessing the second set is the method of transportation to your honeymoon destination followed by the destination (plane to Hawaii, boat to Greece, etc)

Oh!! I get it! ^_^ I guess since we’re not doing the honeymoon right away, I wasn’t thinking right. Thanks!

I love this wish bowl idea! We are planning on doing this as well. This is the poem we are using:
<p style=”text-align: center” align=”center”><span style=”font-family: ‘Bradley Hand ITC'”>As we begin our Journey –
A brand new Mr. and Mrs.
We surely could use
Your Advice and good Wishes.
Share with us your Wisdom
About Marriage, Love, and Life,
The secret to being a good Husband
Or a thoughtful, loving Wife.
Jot down a Memory,
A reminder of the day.
A doodle or picture will do
If you don’t know what to say.
Please don’t forget –
It would be such a shame
Don’t drop your card in the bowl
Without signing your Name.
Weddings are so much more
Than rings and tossed rice.
So grab a pen
And write some Advice!
