- Wedding: September 2012
Take a break for a few weeks. You still have some time before crunch mode, so relax and don’t do any wedding-related tasks for a bit.
You’ve already sunk a lot of money and your friends & family have also committed a lot of money. Now you need to focus on what matters and forget the rest. Cut the extraneous stuff and just get to the invitations and the event. 🙂
I started to feel like this for a while. But then I reminded myself of the reasons for having a local wedding. Wedding planning is tough, in that there are often so many different options that are appealing. But in the end, you make decisions by weighing the options and choosing what is best overall. I think you’ll look back on your wedding and be happy that you had everyone there to celebrate. If you had a destination wedding, you might always look back and wonder what it could’ve been like if all your guests could have shared in the day.
I feel the same! Just today, I hear my guests wanting to add extra people WITHOUT my permission! If I have a Destination Wedding, I wouldn’t need to deal with this. These “extra” people will think twice before tagging along to a Destination Wedding.
