@MrsBoomBoom: Since you aren’t doing a dinner, I think you will be okay (if not a bit short). If you think about it, if you do “first look” pictures before the ceremony, then start right at 8, you should be married by 8:30. Throw in a recieving line/ trying to get inside and you can do your cake cutting/first dances/speeches from 9-9:45. That leaves you an hour for dancing and drinking. It’s short, but if it’s what you can afford and you aren’t a huge dancer/drinker, I don’t see it being a huge problem.

Oh, just realized to… does 8-11 mean you cannot BE at the venue until 8 (to set up, get lined up, etc because then realistically you won’t be able to get down the aisle until 8:30 at the earliest as your guests wouldn’t be able to sit down until then!) and when you say 11 at the end is that when you have to be cleaned up and gone? If that is the case you likely would have to have your guests leave around 10:15 so you have time to pack up the cars, clean and go.

My wedding was 4 hours and I think it was PERFECT!
Including a Buffet Dinner, Cake Cutting, Garter/Bouquet Toss, etc.

I’d rather people be leaving wanting/wishing for more, than leaving early and feeling shitty about myself.

You can do it! Dont panic! Best of Luck!

I think 3 hours is perfect!! Leave the guests wanting more! instead of bored and tired.
