Our wedding is in 3 weeks and we have decided to do a wishing well at the ceremony site. We did register for my bridal showers and the last one is this weekend. So afterwards I was going to take down the registries. We have a wedding website where everyone went to RSVP and there is a section where it says we will have a wishing well. My question is how do we let everyone know that we are asking for cash instead of gifts at the wedding? I read that it was tacky to mention anything like that in the invitations so we didn’t. Will everyone know to bring cash in an envelope? Should we supply little envelopes next to the wishing well with little cards so people can write something nice and then put money in the card? Do you think people would come empty handed because the registries are down? Any ideas????
