I bought two veils… One white and one ivory both davids bridal…
1. the ivory one looks too dark of ivory for my dress It is elbow length 2 tier.. . dangling swevoski crystals.
2. The white one almost seems to white for the dress, it is finger tip length 2 tier both have the dangling crystals.
I haven’t found a veil with the color of ivory that i need. All of your opions have meant a lot thanks a bunch 🙂 Thanks 🙂
If any of you have pics of you in ivory dress with both the white or ivory veil can I please see them 🙂

The white one matches better.

At wedding-veil.com they sell diamond white veils that are in between white and ivory. You can order fabric samples for free, as I recall. Plus their veils are cheap!

Definitely NOT the ivory veil. I would definitely go with the white veil. While it may not be the EXACT shade of your dress, it will be far enough removed from your dress to not be that noticeable. It’s not like it is a shawl that will be in stark contrast, you know what I mean?

Definately white veil. It looks cleaner.

I agree. The white veil looks much better. The ivory one doesn’t look clean against your white gown.

Go with the white veil. If the colors don’t quite match, err on the side of too light than too dark. If it is too dark it will just look dirty against your dress.

It’s kind of a tough call looking at the photos, but I’m of the opinion that any accessory should be darker than the overall color of your dress (assuming you can’t match it exactly). If you go lighter, it could make your dress look dingy or dirty.

Definitely the white. Stark white veils always appear as a slightly softer colour because the fabric is so sheer. And veils in a lighter colour than the dress still look beautiful, like this one:
…whereas an ivory veil with a white dress can clash terribly. (Of course, the main problem with the clash below is the lace, but even the veil fabric itself looks yellow compared with the dress.)

I’m getting a light ivory dress and the veil i tried on looks just fine, but the lady told me they could order me a veil to match the exact color as my dress so i’ll probably do that. If the ivory of the veil is different then your dress i wouldn’t go with the white, you don’t want a dark ivory with a light ivory dress.

Actually either of them will work. Personally I prefer the white, but I think you should look around to see if i could find a closer match if you are not happy with these. Another thing you could try is doing a two teir veil with the white over the ivory. Just experiment until you are happy!!

I voted wrong! I like the white much better and agree with the other poster that the ivory one looks a little dirty against the dress. Good luck!
