… to stretch his back!
Oh bees, I didn’t really think he’d propose, but I kind of got a kick out of it. My SO and I went on a trip to San Francisco for a week, and we went to Lincoln Park on the coastal trail, which gave us these spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge. At one point (probably my favorite point of the entire trail) we were on the edge of this cliff that jutted out into the water with a 270 degree view of the bay. There was absolutely no fog or clouds covering the bridge for once, and it was just breath-taking.
I knew even as I saw him sink down to the ground that he wouldn’t be proposing. I would have probably passed out if he did because I think it’s still about a year off. But damn, some small part of me was hoping I was wrong! He got down–more of a crouch, not even on his knees–to do some sort of stretch because his back had been bothering him.
Here’s hoping he finds such a nice place to propose when it actually happens some day!
Here is a picture I found of the place we were. We were on the cliff on the right side of the image. Would that not have been the perfect spot?!

@qwerty2k1: You tease 😛 Looks like a beautiful place anyway and I hope your SO does find a spot just as lovely.

@qwerty2k1: when I read the title I went ‘awww how cute!’ it was at least a fun experience even if he wasn’t proposing, but maybe when you think you guys are closer you can remind him of that place and how you think it’d be so romantic and perfect for a proposal 😉

@emmrr3: He teased me first! Luckily he is big on traveling, so hopefully he will find just as nice of a spot someday 🙂
@cherriesandcream: You’re right, it was still a great experience. I haven’t decided yet if I want to tell him what it seemed like he was doing or not, haha.

@qwerty2k1: You faked me out! I started adding you to the “latest proposals” list before I opened the thread.
It’s rare to see the bridge without fog surrounding it. What a beautiful view!

@somethingaquamarine: Haha, sorry! Nah, I’ve still got a ways to go, I’m betting I’ll break twenty before I’m off that list!
I know, it was cloudy in the bay every single other day. We were very lucky to take that hike the day we did 🙂

OMG what a tease!! I would die with happiness if my SO proposed in SF with the bridge in our view. What a lovely photo!
