Congrats, my fellow 30s board members! 🙂
However… if you really want to be wealthy, you should apparently marry a younger man! Men who marry in their 20s earn more, in general.
A hot young guy who brings home an extra strip of bacon? Sounds win-win to me!
However, for me personally, it turns out my soulmate is 4 years older than me… I wonder if it counts that he totally LOOKS like he is in his mid-20s though? 😉

@joya_aspera: I’ll be 32 but so will my Fiance when we get married. I already earn more than him, though!

My guy will be in his early 40’s when we tie the knot, but this article does not surprise me. A lot of driven men want to marry young because they like to achieve goals and are too busy to date around for years. Also, men who are driven are generally more confident and will go out and find the woman they want rather than sitting around waiting until later in life to try to find someone.
Working in the medical field, I used to marvel at how every medical student seems to marry so young but after dating one I figured out why. Their schedule is crazy and they don’t have time to really date much so in my opinion, they commit early. I know this doesn’t apply to all, but it does for a lot.

I make twice as much in my mid 30s than I did when I married the first time in my early 20s. Of course, I have twice as many financial responsibilities too…

I’m 38 and a teacher. I will never be rich 🙂
Fiance is 2 years younger than me, 36, but makes 3 times what I do.
