I got a Big Girl job today!!!! It was quite the whirlwind process, but I am so happy and excited! I sent my resume yesterday to a friend who is a recruiter, she called me yesterday evening to let me know they wanted to interview me this morning, had an interview at 11 and was offered the position at 4!!! HUGE *sigh*
I have been graduated from college for a year and a half now, and have worked at the same restaurant for 8 years and tried to settle for a day job working for the county, however I hated it and still had to work at the restaurant because the pay seriously blew. I can’t believe that I am seriously going to be able to not work at the restaurant anymore…I’ll miss it a little since I practically grew up there, but wow! And I am so happy because I’ll be on equal footing with Fiance (actually making a bit more than him!) I was seriously stressing these last couple of months because work has been so slow, I was freaking about all the last minute expenses for the wedding, but now we will be set!
Okay thanks for listening…I’m rambling now, but I am just so so so happy!

Thank you all so much! Unfortunately it isn’t in my field of study (psychology) but with the salary increase I will be able to finally afford my graduate classes, though I will have to take them slowly. My ultimate goal is to pursue a career in my field, but with the way the economy is right now I just have to take what I can get. I will be a mortgage loan processor in the home refinancing department of the largest credit union here in the US. There is a lot of room for advancement so that is def a plus 🙂
