I think it depends….

We had a guy from our church who just recently got engaged and ran into us the day before the wedding while setting up at our venue… He was there taking pics for his Fiance & he asked if we’d be okay with him and her dropping by to see it all decorated… honestly I didn’t care at all… BUT we do kinda know him. lol

Honestly, I wouldn’t. I’m having a 100 person wedding, and it would kind of creep me out to think of you judging my music selections. I’m a shy person, though, and maybe if it were a larger wedding I wouldn’t mind as much.

@echopkb: I wouldn’t mind at all – but I wish I thought of this before my wedding!

Honestly, I think you would be better off contacting a few DJ’s you’re interested in and asking if they have any upcoming gigs at public places, such as clubs, to see them in action.

Honestly? I’ve barely met half of FI’s family, and we’ve been together almost 4 years! There’s no way I want someone else at my wedding I don’t know.

But, I’d suggest asking your potential vendors if they’d share their list of upcoming gigs with you, and then check them out. I’d personally not tell them which one you’re going to, because you want to see them for how they always are, and not a spruced up version b/c they think they’re going to get your money.

Good luck!

I’d allow it as long as the dj let me know in advance.

I’d be very uncomfortable with this as a bride.

Some DJs have videos of their gigs/performances. Maybe you can see if they have one available to help you judge better?

Actually we have to do this to listen to our DJ… If I knew what the people were there for and they didn’t eat anything or cause a problem (haha) then I’d be ok with it.

I really dont think I would allow it. Honesly I dont want to have to worry about anything. I dont want random people I dont know at my wedding… even if it is short time.. If I knew the future bride that would be different and then I would probably let her.. but if I knew her she would prolly be coming to the wedding anyways.. lol

Our DJ told us we could come see him at any of his gigs… we didn’t end up taking him up on that, but I think I’d be okay with it as long as they didn’t stay long and the DJ let me know in advance.
