It is pretty early to start getting symptoms, but then anything is possible.

When I was younger (18), I was convinced I was pregnant because I was getting a sharpe pain, and I was sure I started having other classic symptoms which I am now sure I just imagined.  That scare, turned out to be a urinary tract infection. HAHA.

Some people get really early results with pregnancy tests, but I myself while pregnant with my second child kept getting false negatives.  And I was so sure about the pregnancy that I kept on testing, every few days.  In the end I got a positive test, went to the Dr thinking I was about 4 weeks….um yeah….I was actually 9.  Thats how far out my test was.

So my advice, if you are stressing, go see your GP for advice and a blood test.

I did have symptoms that early, but I didn’t think I was pregnant. I thought I was coming down with a cold and that the upset tummy was from post nasal drip. I ended up going to a walk in clinic about a week after I conceived because I wasn’t feeling better. They said I was fine. A week later I had a day where I felt like I had the flu, soooo tired and horrible nausea and my sense of smell was insane. I tested the next morning and got a positive. Looking back I had symptoms definitely within a few days so yes, I think it could be possible. Pick up some tests at the drug store and see how you make out although I think it could be up to a week before you get a positive. It’s still early if you are pregnant.

@mrsmjm:  The important question is where you were in your cycle when you “pulled the goalie”.  How long are your cycles usually and when was your last period?  If you had unprotected sex during your fertile window, then you should test the first day of your missed period.

When is your period due? You can test up to 4 days before your missed period. If you’re in that range… test. POAS never hurt anyone.

I found out I was pregnant before my missed period. I just knew something was off.

You don’t need to wait two more weeks. If we assume you were in your fertile window the weekend after thanksgiving then your period would be due about two weeks from there. You are at least a week out from there, and many people get positive results 10-12 days post ovulation. I say test later this week.

I’m having trouble mentioning names (thanks Weddingbee). I’m thinking that the OP’s cycle is 30 days or so. It would mean that AF is due December 15/16. I highly recommend that you at least mark on your calendar when you start AF every cycle to get an idea of how long your cycles are. I’d definitely say test next Saturday or so. My fertile time this cycle was around Thanksgiving, so our cycle timing is similar.

You can test probably later this week.  Most tests are very sensitive and can pick up a positive before your first missed period.  Good luck!

@mrsmjm: Grab a First Response Early Result. Stick to ones with pink dyes. I’ve heard mixed things about blue dyes. There’s also the Clearblue Digital as well. Do you know when your AF is due? You might get a clearer positive closer to that.

@mrsmjm: I’d snag a test to take in the morning. It’s likely the 2nd test didn’t work b/c there wasn’t enough hormone in the urine since you had recently gone.

From what I’ve always known a positive is a positive!! eek! Goodluck with your next testing ๐Ÿ˜‰
