@HopingForSnow:  Breathe, take one step at a time.  Make one decision at a time.   I am sending prayers for you and your mom.

my mom, who is one of my best friends, has had cancer for 10 years now, although was in remission for 5 years. It’s a battle we deal with one day at a time, and I’ve definitely thanked God for every milestone that we reach ..like picking out my dress together, my veil, .. when she had a reoccurence last year I was questionning whether I should push up the wedding, but she didn’t want me to. Anyways just wanted to let you know that you’re in my thoughts and prayers although I ask the same in return! There are miracles every day.. just remember that 🙂

I am so sorry you are going through this. You are obviously a very strong person, but this is a lot for anyone to deal with.

I have lost someone very close to me to cancer, and I do find some comfort in knowing I did everything I possibly could to make their last days comfortable. I know how frustrating it could be when other family members do not step up to the plate, but at least you will be able to live without regrets when looking back on this situation.

Deciding whether or not to move up your wedding date is a decision only you can make. Would you consider having a small civil ceremony that she could attend now, and then having a reception down the line?

I am sorry you are going through this, I wish there was more advice I had to offer. I wish you the best.
