On CD36 (I’m usually a 35 day full cycle- 5 day AF) and still waiting…zero pms/cramping/standard symptoms. I took wondfo test yesterday and this am, bfn for sure. Maybe it’s just too early? I’m not 100% sure when I ovulated this month (not a tracker). Could it be a false negative? I want to give it a few more days but I’m just so anxious to know one way or the other! Got my wondfos from amazon, wondering if they could be faulty? They appear to be working fine; does this even happen? I’m probably overthinking this; just excited/nervous/impatient and needed somewhere to put my thoughts!

I would say that you probably ovulated later this cycle and that AF is not actually late yet. I would take a test every couple of days until either BFP or AF arrives.
Best of luck!

Were you tracking ovulation? If not, you probably ovulated late, which usually makes your period late. This is easier said than done, but wait a week and retest!

You probably ovulated late…if you were actually “late” you’d be getting BFPs. Faint maybe, but BFPs for sure.

I didn’t get a BFP until my period was really quite late, and I’m pretty sure I know my ovulation date exactly (although I was having annovulatory cycles, they were completely regular, 28 day cycles and, on the rare occasion that I did ovulate, it was always on day 14). Sometimes then implantation can take several days longer than usual… my experience was on the far end of the “normal” curve. It can take a very long time to get a BFP… even if you use a very accurate test, one in fifty pregnant women will not get a BFP on the day of their missed period. In rare cases then some (like me) won’t get one until several days later. I would keep testing until either your period arrives, or you get a BFP.
PS I understand the confusion… from the very first day I got my first period as a teenager, until the month I got pregnant, my periods were so regular that I had never been a day late in my life. I couldn’t understand my BFNs either!

thanks everyone – I wasn’t tracking ovulation super closely. I found that in prior months I was getting a little too obsessed, which just got stressful so we are letting nature do it’s thing, and whenever it happens, it happens. We don’t have any major timelines, but will be thrilled when that BFP happens. My cycles are longer now than they used to be prior to BC (29 days then, 35 now). Even with the change, since going off BC in December, they have been pretty regular, so these few days delay is a bit of a signal for me. I don’t want to look too much into it just yet, but this still makes AF at least a few days late. Patience is not my strength with this sort of stuff, so it’s tough, but I guess I need to just wait it out. I will test each morning with the wondfo since I have a million of them, and hopefully have an answer in a week-ish! Eek! Will post update when I know more, but appreciate the advice in the mean time.

I agree with others that if you were really late then you’d have a definite bfp by now. hope it clears up for you in next few days one way or another!

random update.. just finished a 51 (51!!) day cycle…AF arrived with no warning. So strange! I’m honestly glad that AF happened than for me to keep getting BFN while late with no explanation…. better luck next cycle I guess!
