Where I get confused is when to BD. And how do I know when my temps are going to rise. I had the EWCM yesterday and the day before and I believe I ovulated on Saturday. But I was testing negative on the OPK. That’s normal, though I think. We have been BD’ing every other day for the last 5 days or so and I would like to think we have a chance this month. I have the FF app and will use it more effectively. I downloaded it last week but I’m a teacher and on spring break and I’ve not been temping consistently. I go back to work tomorrow so I will do it right when I wake up! Hopefully I’ll get the hang of this soon and get a BFP in the near future. You’re awesome. Thanks for helping!

I totally get being on break (and I am very jealous! I work in education, but don’t get a break). I typically start BDing EOD after AF stops until I see EWCM and every day when I see EWCM. Once I dry up, I stop. I can’t predict when my temps will rise because my body is a hot mess after BC, but I have Oed around CD17 in the past. So if AF stops on CD5, I tend to BD CD6, CD8, CD10, CD12, CD14, CD15, CD16, CD17, then take a break if it looks like I Oed.
I tend to have very diluted urine, so much so that I didn’t get a postive pregancy test until 18po last time, so I doubt I would ever get a positive OPK. Not everyone does. Also, if you O on Saturday, you should get a positive OPK sometime between Wednesday night and Saturday morning. This makes sense because Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are your most fertile days.
FWIW, my Mother-In-Law charted to conceive and avoid pregnancy for 25 years with all successes– she got pregnant the first time, every time. So much so that she announced her pregnancy the day after conception (yes, you read that right– long before a positive test). My mom and grandmother didn’t chart. They each got pregnant the first cycle for all of their pregnancies. So if charting isn’t for you, the odds are still in your favor of conceiving 🙂

You seriously need to write a blog or article on this! I can’t tell you how many places I’ve checked for info and none of them answered every question like you did. I had two what I think are positives on Thursday and Friday. I believe that the slightly lighter shade just had to do with how the ink bled because it had a very dark initial line, whereas the definite negatives were much much lighter and didn’t even really have that initial line. I don’t know if I’m making sense, but there’s this thin line which is the starting point of the test band and that’s what I’m referring to. I tested yesterday and the test band was almost nonexistent so I am now sure that my tests last week were positive and are way way wayyy darker than what I’m getting now. We BD’d EOD leading up to O day and I think my chances are good! Hopefully my body will take on and get pregnant. Thank you again for all of your help! ❤️
