jdubya12 : AquariusLove : gerbear87 : friedabee : Thank you all for your advice re: charting/temping. I ordered a BBT thermometer from amazon and it arrived yesterday so I’m just starting to temp now! I also got the Fertiity Friend app so that I can chart. Hopefully this gives me some insight about what’s going on in my body!

greywacke : Yes, it’s so confusing how everything says your cycles should return to normal! It made me feel like there was something wrong with me, when clearly it takes a lot of women some time to regulate!

jdubya12 : I also used the continuous method – wonder if that could be a reason why my body is having a tough time. It was such a great idea at the time – I loved being able to control when I’d get my period haha. Now I just feel helpless!

It will be a year off BC next month for me. Currently on day 111 of this cycle 🙁 See a dr if you haven’t had a normal period in 6 months. They will tell you it can take up to a year even. I was in the same situation as you, I started the pill at 15 and I didn’t have normal cycles really then either. I found out recently that my wonky cycles are likely due to a low BMI so I’ve been working on getting that normal. Everyone is different is what I learned! Best of luck to you and do not stress about it!!- that will likely make it worse 🙂 Until then just enjoy not having crampy periods lol.

I got my IUD taken out in November (so still fairly recent), we are hopefully going to start trying late next year, so I wanted to give my body time to get back to “normal”…right now my cycles are extremely long.

sassybeee : good luck! Excited for you!
You might already know this, but it helps to take your temp at the same time each morning. Regularity really does help. I find my temps are all over the place when my sleep schedule is off.

I went 6 months before having a period after the BCP. Now my cycles are normal and like they were pre-BCP. It definitely took my body some time to adjust tho, and I was only on it for 7 years.
