My 6 MO won’t take bottles (but he will take some solids and nurse) while I’m at work. He also has been up way more at night and isn’t napping well. Two weeks ago he was eating a ton during the day, napping awesome, and down to one feeding at night, which we were going to wean. Literally one day it just all changed. Anyone been there? Is this teething? He has two teeth already and never stopped his bottle before. I did take him to the dr and they said they didn’t think he had an ear infection or was sick.

Welcome to a wonder week! When babies consolidate new knowledge they often totally screw up their sleep schedule. You can sign up for the wonder weeks newsletters that make you feel slightly better about the lack of sleep during those times. Just google wonder weeks.
Did your baby take a bottle well before? Our little one only takes about 2-4 oz while I’m at work, preferring to wait until I come home to nurse.

This is normal dont worry. He wont take naps as often now.. and then he will start again when he gets a growth spurt or becomes more active. The schedules of babies is odd… for months my now 11 month old wasnt napping so much anymore but now lately.. he needs his naps or hes a grumpy little man.. as for the bottle if your weeniing he will take it eventually it just takes time to transition.

Ok, thanks ladies! I’m not weaning, just wanting him to eat while I’m at work and during the day. . . but oh well. Guess it’s not up to me! 🙂 He did just learn to roll and is so in tune with everything. Glad to know it’s not abnormal.
