We would love to incorporate wood into our centerpieces.
Anyone do this or have tips on how to re create this look? Coming across wood without bark falling off may be tricky

These are the centerpieces we made for our wedding:

Darling Husband actually cut them from a fallen tree in our yard. We found that the bark stayed on better if the wood wasn’t dry. We didn’t want to cut down a tree to make them so we just tried a couple trees on our property that had fallen (big yard). Then we just sealed them with polyurethane. The first two coats were soaked up pretty quick. I think we did 4 coats total and then just left them on the porch to air out to get that “stain” smell out of them. They came out really good and a few people we know are using them in their houses, haha.
