Okay, so I knew I wanted to something unique and fun for the STD, but wasn’t quite sure. So after spending countless hours online, I stumbled across these wood invites from Wood Chick Studios on Etsy. This seemed perfect since we are having a country vintage wedding.
I really liked their designs they offered but could not find anything I was in love with, so I requested a custom design. I sent them a vintage picture I had of a wedding couple. They very soon sent me a sample design via mail.
And here it is:
I LOVED it. The only problem, Mr. BurlapAndLace didn’t like the design. He loved the wood and said it was fine, but I wanted him to be happy too.
So, I worked with Wood Chick Studios to make a new design- a mountain one (since we are going to get married in the Colorado mountains) that hopefully Mr.BurlapAndLace would like too. Here it is:
And well, I am glad I listened. He is happy and so am I.
What do you guys think? Which one would you have picked?

gosh those are cool and they look very expensive

AWESOME! I would have picked the first one myself. But had hubby said he wanted a different design, I also would have indulged him as this was his wedding too! So the mountain one is just as great!
Will they cost a lot to mail?

I wanted to do something like this, but I may be making my Save-The-Date Cards and invitations. I love the first picture you posted.

They cost me 157 for 70. This included the envelope. There was no cost for the design fee. Worth every penny to me.

Also, they only need one stamp to mail

What a clever idea!! I love unique favors like this and it is definitely a great thing to frame and put on your wall as a little decoration.

I love the second one, it sounds like it will fit your theme very well! Very unique and a great deal.
How do they hold up going through the postal service?
Well, she sent me a sample through the mail (the first one) just in an plain envelope and it held up just fine. Plus, it seems that all the reviews on Etsy are 100% positive and don’t have any complaints about that, so I think just fine 🙂 Knock on wood…haha.
