These are my table numbers (from etsy). Should I paint them to match my wedding colors (teal, ivory or gold) or simply stain, varnish them?
Most of my tables already have large amounts of gold. Some tables have clay pots spray painted gold with teal candles/gems and some have gold peacock statues with flower petals. The other tables will have tall vases with flowers mixed with peacock feathers.
I thought of painting the numbers ivory (linens are white) or simply leaving them the wood color. I also could sell them after the wedding, if I leave them neutral. They were not cheap. 🙂

I would probably leave them as is, they’re pretty thick and I think even with spray paint it may be hard to get in all the corners.
I wouldn’t even stain them, but I tend to like natural woods over anything 🙂

I like the idea of painting them ivory, especially as you say there is lots of gold in your centrepieces. The raw wood looks a little gold-coloured, so I wonder if they might end up blending in too much if you leave them as is?

cinnamonbun– The pic is a little dark. The wood is lighter. Thanks for the input.

Is it safe to assume your talecloths are teal? If not, I would paint the numbers teal. If so, I think the ivory paint.

I would leave them the way they are and then resell them. They look good like that, and what else can you do with a bunch of painted numbers after the wedding? lol.
Hope you didn’t pay too too much for them…they look exactly like mine…and I paid 1.25 for each number at Ben Franklin Crafts.

I’d do a mockup of how your tables will be and see what you think. I’d personally paint them as they look a bit rustic as they are, and if resold, anyone can easily repaint them to match whatever color they need.

H216scrf – the tablecloths are white
kate169 – I paid $5 for each but they were custom made. The double digit numbers are connected and they stand on their own.

i like the idea of clear varnish

Hi! If your wedding has already passed, would you be willing to sell your wooden numbers to me? If you are, what are the dimensions of each piece, and how much are you willing to let them go for? You can email me at [email protected]

I thnk the ivory would look best. Leaving it natural gives a bit of a woodsy feel, to me, which wouldn’t necessarily match your theme.

Would you still happen to have these numbers? Willing to sell?

I’d paint them ivory. Also, just as an idea..after the wedding you could totally take the numbers and make mantle art 🙂 w/your wedding date.
Oh, your wedding looks like it has already passed. O.o Hahahaa
