I love the wooden bands but can water ruin them?
I voted no, because I found a similar wooden band that I thought my SO would like, he is usually into rustic/more organic type things, but I showed it to him and he said Oh god no, lol. He really wants a plain rose gold band, go figure. I think unless you KNOW that he will love it, it’s a no. It’s just too specific I think?
PS – this is the one that I liked and was going to get, but he vetoed http://www.etsy.com/listing/55007584/tulip-wood-with-rose-gold-inlay-titanium?ref=sr_gallery_23&ga_search_query=rose+gold+wedding+band&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=ZZ&ga_min=0&ga_max=0&ga_page=9&ga_search_type=all

Do your due diligence in purchasing something like this.
- Will water harm it?
- Will you need to refinish it every now and then?
- Will it expand and contract in varying seasons?
- How durable is it?
- If expected not to last, what’s its lifespan?
- Is there a guarantee made by the retailer?
Things like this. But you’re a smart shopper I bet, and probably I’m wasting time telling you all of this. 🙂

i vote no because i think it will fall apart over time, i think a wood ring is a bad idea and will not last

Love it. My husband has a wooden inlay ring and it looks amazing!

You know your Fiance best. If you are unsure that he will like the ring, it’s probably a good idea to ask him rather than making it a surprise.
Personally, I like the ring. But as others have commented, I’d be concerned about how it would hold up over time.

I think it’s gorgeous; especially if it matches Fiance personality.
But others have stated that it might not hold up as the years go by; this is definitely something to consider.

Fiance and I really wanted a ring with wooden detail but came to the conclusion that there is a lot of wear and tear that can happen to a wooden ring, especially if you live in a place with hot summers and cold winters.
As for that particular wooden ring… I’m not a fan (sorry!). I think darker woods for rings are more attractive.

I think that ring is great! It’s important to find rings that jive with a person’s personality so that they don’t mind wearing it every day for the rest of their lives!
