one of my best friends got married at Rockwood Manor.  if you have any specific questions, let meknow!

my favorite part was that we all got to stay there the whole weekend which made it a wonderful community event — we had several large meals there (friday night rehearsal dinner, all meals on saturday and then the wedding). they had a caterer for the wedding but the other meals were cooked by family/brought in.  many of the younger guests got to stay in the “dorms” which were very basic, but a great deal. i came to the wedding on my own since my husband was at a conference and i got to know all the other ladies by staying together – we had a great time and even came up with a group slogan. but when they say basic, it’s basic — girl scout camp all the way (not the rooms in the house itself, just the dorms).  the main issue i can remember was acoustics – the ceremony was held outside without amplification, and it was very hard to hear.  also, because there are two floors, if a speech was made upstairs, it was very hard to hear downstairs — so make sure you bring in a good sound system.  they had dinner downstairs (partly tented) and then dancing on the ground floor, with desserts upstairs.

let me know ifyou have any other questions, and PM me if you want me to put you in contact with my friend who had the wedding there.

@cstina:  have you checked their facebook page? Rockwood recently added photos in March. I’ve also found a couple of weddings on photog blogs if you pm me.
