- Wedding: September 2013
I’m getting married at an outdoor venue with really uneven footing, so I’ve been looking for low wedges/flats. And I want something where my toes show. And I want my shoes to be my something blue.
I bought Jimmy Choos Bergen wedges in turquoise. Despite buying a full size larger than what I usually wear, they pinch my toes 🙁 I only tried them in on my dining room for about 5 minutes, but even that scuffed the ultra soft leather bottoms slightly, so I REALLY hope Niemann’s takes them back, because I’d rather not eat that $600 purchase! I can’t imagine trying them on in the store would be much kinder on the soles though…
Anyway, I found these shoes, bought them, and I love them! Compared to the Jimmy Choos they don’t seem to be made quite as well, though they are $300 less. They are still $300 shoes though, and I’m not sure I’d pay that for them if they weren’t for my wedding day (also, try finding turquoise low-wedge peep toes. Good luck!) They are WAAAAAYYYYYY more comfortable than the Jimmy Choos were (those would start bothering my feet during the ceremony, I guarantee it. I’m pretty sure I could wear these til the end of the reception) Anyway, what do you guys think? (my wedding dress is the San Patrick Calais, so very flowy and not super formal)
