Bees, I need some advice!
My parent are divorced. My father remarried 20 years ago and my mother is not remarried. I am very lucky in that my parents divorce was as amicable as a divorce could be. I am very close with my step mom. My question concerns the wording to be used when my father gives me away during the ceremony. Normally “her mother and I” is the standard wording in the weddings I have attended. I do not like that since it leaves out my step mom. Any suggestions of wording to include Dad, Mom and Step mom?

Could you have all them them stay standing and have your dad say “we all do”?

or just “her parents”
also, at lots of weddings, this never actually gets asked..the father just greets the groom, hands off his daughter, then sits down as the bride and groom process the last couple steps together.

Your Dad could say”Her mother, stepmother and I do”.
I’m not big on all of them standing up but that’s just me.

Thanks for the replies!
I think I will go with “her mother, stepmother and I do”
