Were having an afternoon ceremony and reception in the same venue. Ive chosen to use WPD invite http://www.weddingpaperdivas.com/product/13021/signature_white_wedding_invitations_with_evening_sparkle.html#color/02/pid/13021
And I am going to have them remove the “One night only” and the “Dinner, dancing to follow” on the bottom.
Should I replace with “One day only” and “Lunch and cocktails to follow”?
I want guests to know they will be fed. We are having a 3 course meal and open bar plus wedding cake and the reception will go to 5pm. Ceremony starts at 12:30.
No room for much dancing since the venue is a wine bar/restaurant that hold 50 people.
Any ideas on new phrases or just remove them and not replace at all?
I really love this invite because it goes with the theme perfect!

Yes, I would say lunch and cocktails to follow.
Reception To Follow

As a guest, I really appreciate when the invitation gives me the information I need. A 12:30 ceremony could be interpreted to take place before or after lunch.
I would do what you suggested for the “One Day Only” but lunch and cocktails sounds reversed to me as you usually have cocktails before a meal.
What about “Lunch reception to follow”.

@julies1949: do you think If I just put “reception to follow” people will get the hint that substantial food will be served?

@janinaPK: Honestly, as a guest I would still be in doubt and would likely have to call you to clarify.
Reception to follow could be cake and punch ,as by the time the reception starts many people would normally have already eaten lunch.
