Fiance & I have decided to have no dancing at our evening wedding for a number of factors. However, i know that’s really unusual and I kind of want to prime people to expect it in the invitations but I’m having trouble with the wording. We’re going to have separate ceremony and reception cards, so I was thinking some along the lines of:
Good food, Good wine, and good company to follow
What do you think?

Is there a particular reason why you aren’t? Are you doing something in place of dancing? Maybe you can put that on there?

Maybe you could put “Sit-down dinner to follow.” I don’t know if there would be a hyphen between sit and down or not.

I don’t think you really need to say anything. It’s not like people need to do anything different to prepare for a wedding with dancing versus without. If you really want people to know ahead of time maybe you could just spread the news by word of mouth.

@Donnica22 – we’re not having dancing basically due to time & space constraints (reception will only be about 2.5 hours max) and we figured we could have an after party with our friends if we felt like dancing the night away after
I suppose that’s true that I don’t have to put anything or maybe try word of mouth like chexmix said (awesome name!)
We’ll see what happens – thanks 🙂
