My Fiance and I are getting married in a barn with a reception following right after, the barn is a historical site and there is a reception hall on site. The issue is the barn holds 80 Chairs the reception venue over 260. We both come from huge families and it is in a small town (everyone thinks they need an invite or are welcome). We’ve cut down the guest list to almost 80 what I am worried about is people bringing plus ones or people that are in that family that the invite is not adressed to. How do I make it clear that their invite means just the people that it is addressed to? we’ve got zero room for one extra body.
additionally how do I word a reception invite that says I’m sorry, we still love you we just don’t have enough space for you until the reception… nicely of course
