What do you think about the wording of our outdoor ceremony wedding invitation ? This is only a portion of course. I have run this by planner, fiance, mom & friends, but now want Bee feedback. he he.
Bride

Groom
TOGETHER WITH THEIR FAMILIES
REQUEST THE HONOUR OF YOUR PRESENCE
IN A CELEBRATION OF LOVE AS THEY EXCHANGE
MARRIAGE VOWS ON

I think there’s something about not using ‘honour of your prescence’ for non-church weddings, but if you like it, I’m sure nobody’s going to flip out over it.

I think it’s good. I like how you used “families” instead of “parents.”
Is there any way you could have “in a celebration of love” on it’s own line? I think that may be a little more dramatic.
It’s fine as is though!

@SapphireSun: Yea you are correct. You can do whatever you want but historically it was honour of your presence for places of worship and pleasure of your company if not. These days, anything goes though.

thanks for feedback ladies- I was thinking about changing to “The pleasure of your company”. The planner did point out the detail of it not being in a church. I think the way it uploaded it breaks up the sentences. It’s tough when you know it’s going to print! Eeek!
