Hello Ladies! I need some advice on how to phrase our wedding invitations. I want to include both my parents’ names as host and my fiance’s parents’ names. I absolutly HATE the tradition of Mr. and Mrs. John Smith! The woman has a name and an identity! So that option is out.
Anyways, I will be phrasing my parents as Mr. John and Mrs. Jane Smith. The problem is with my fiance’s parents. His dad is a Jr, let’s say Richard Jones, Jr. But how should I phrase his parents? The options I can think of are:
-Mr. Richard Jones, Jr. and Mrs. Jenny Jones (this is technically proper from what I’ve read, but it implies that they aren’t together anymore so it’s out I think)
-Mr. Richard, Jr. and Mrs. Jenny Jones
Any other ideas?
