I’m having trouble nailing down the wording of events following my ceremony.
Our entire wedding will take place in my father-in-law-to-be’s backyard. There’ll be a two hour gap between the ceremony and reception, during which we’ll have servers walking the grounds offereing appetizers as well as fruit punch provided on a table. And we will be out taking our pictures in the meantime.
However, because we’re offereing refreshments and have our dj play music in between and also set up some lawn games, we want to let our guests know they don’t have to leave the premise. How should I word it on my invitation? It’s kinda complicated for me since I’ll mention dinner and dance as well. So far, my fiancee came up with the following:
Dinner and Dance
to follow the ceremony
at six thirty in the evening
with snacks and refreshment in between
Which i thought is totally awkward, and not following our traditional wording of the rest of the invite..
Please help me. Thanks!
