LOL. I understand your frustration!

It was 9 months into our engagement before we signed with a venue/caterer! So you still have two months on me! 😉

Don’t get discouraged, IT exists!

When we went to our venue we really liked it and could really see ourselves getting married on the Great Lawn. There was a venue before that one that we LOVED but due to a freaking horrible caterer it fell through. Overall I KNOW the venue we went with was the one for us. And the day of they lived up to our expectations and times a thousand.

And oh, we’re not rich by any means and do not have half the budgets some girls on here have and we found our dream venue on budget. 🙂

Try searching differently for wedding venues. Look in unexpected places. Instead of just searching New Jersey Wedding Venue try search for spaces with space rentals. Not just wedding venue. Know what I mean?

If you’re leaning more towards modern search out loft spaces that rent out for events. Museums. Art galleries.

If you want garden look at conservatories, vrbo for house rentals that allow parties.

Don’t lose heart! You’ll find one!

What areas are you interested in? How far will you travel?

awe. I would reco my venue in a heartbeat but I heard that 2011 is the last year they are hosting.

But check out Lessings (it’s NYC) but depending on where in NYC you are it might not be a far drive? Lessings was my caterer and they were AMAZING.

Have you tried googling Historic Mansions? Like those on the National Register of Historic Places? Some of those rent out for events.

I looked briefly in NJ so let me dig into my brain aka email.

@Mrs.Boyce: Where are you willing to travel or do you want to stay local?
