- Wedding: September 2012
So I recently started a new job — in early April to be exact. At the time, we were getting married July 14. Then in mid-May, we found out my Fiance needed to have surgery and needed 7-8 weeks to recover and we were forced to move our wedding back 6 weeks. Our wedding is now September 1.
I’ve become close to three of my co-workers, two of whom I’ve expressed that I want them to attend our wedding (they’ve met and hung out with my Fiance socially) and they were both very excited about attending. The third also knows my Fiance socially, but I haven’t yet told her or asked for her address. I feel comfortable inviting these three people to the wedding. My issue lies in whether or not I should invite my direct boss, who has been incredibly helpful and supportive of everything we’ve gone through and given me time to make phone calls, and handle things ect, but she does not know my Fiance and her and I have never hung out socially. However we are about the same age and get along well.
The other questionable and I feel like I should invite if I invite the others is a supervisor who is on the same level as I am, who has also met my Fiance.
I guess my question is — do I just invite the three I feel closest to and not my boss and the other supervisor? Or if I’m inviting other company employees should I technically be inviting the supervisor and boss?
