I tend to eat the same whether I’m at home or at work. We don’t keep “unhealthy” food in the house. The weekends are what do me in. Normally by Friday I’m in no mood to cook or we are out and about and grabbing fast food, pizza, etc is just easier :

@BreezyBride24:  Iam the same as PP…i eat pretty healthy both at work and at home, we dont’ really buy unhealthy snacks and if iam at home and feel like having something unhealthy, all i have to do is think of the work the takes to get to my car and to the store and back home, so its not worth the drive lol…i can be lazy when iam home

I eat worse at home because there is simply just more food to eat, lol!

Like you, I pack my lunch or if I go out to lunch with coworkers we strategically plan where we are going so I still know exactly what I will be eating.

I am so bad about snacking, so at work I just don’t bring any snacks therefore I don’t eat, but at home I will def snag a couple crackers, nuts, or lunch meat/cheese throughout the day.

I eat worse at work, by far.   I work in a medical office and reps are bring in food and snacks all the time.  We have catered meals from restaurants at least once a week.   Its rare that our break room doesn’t have some kinda of candy, popcorn, cake, etc from a rep.   Its hard to resist, because the food is just sitting there saying “I’m free and I taste sooo good!”

We have a cafeteria at work so I’m always faced with unhealthy choices for breakfast and lunch, I try to make breakfast at home but I’m terrible at planning/packing lunches so I often buy it in the cafe. There’s a salad bar but you know I’m more often getting french fries..

I don’t buy junk food for the house and dinners during the week are usually healthy but then the weekends we tend to order out a lot and eat junk food. I’ve gained over 40 lbs in the time we’ve lived together (a little over a year)! We’re trying to get back to normal now. Today’s lunch was salad from the cafe, I ate Boyfriend or Best Friend at home and we have pork chops for dinner.

Getting the weekends under control is what we’re working on next.

So I guess it comes out to be pretty even, I eat unhealthy at both places!!

I definitely eat better at home, because we don’t keep junk food and processed stuff in the house.  Not having it around definitely curbs mindless eating because if I want to eat, I have to actually cook something, and I’m only going to do that if I’m actually hungry and not just bored in front of the TV.

I eat out a lot at work, and even the healthier options aren’t as good as most of what we cook at home.

@BreezyBride24:  hmmm, that’s a good idea. I’ve now started making homemade pizzas and they are amazing! And so much healthier because you can use fresh ingredients, whole grain crust, skim mozzarella, etc.

I am SO good during the work week. I eat a balanced breakfast, space my snacks and lunch properly and make really healthy dinners each night (leftovers of which usually turn into the following day’s lunch – yay for living alone!) – it’s pretty easy to stick to a schedule and stay on track.

But the weekends when I’m home? All of that goes out the window. I usually wake up in the midmorning/early afternoon, sometimes I only eat once with a bunch of snacks/grazing inbetween. Ugh.

I’m trying to figure out how to tackle this problem and change my bad weekend habits so they don’t undo all the good effort I make during the week.

@BreezyBride24:  I am the same way.

I pack my breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack and all are very healthy and nutrient rich but low in overall fat and calories. Without all the options I find it easy to stick to my healthy eating. At home with cupboards full of my DH’s not so healthy snacks it isn’t always easy to make the right decisions. I also find that at work while I am constantly busy and distracting I tend to not be as hungry overall.

Saturdays are the most difficult for me. I don’t have any of my typical after work activities and I don’t coach that day (usually) so the whole day is wide open for food. I have to be careful and if I find myself craving something I try to go for a walk or take a drive to avoid “bored eating.”
