Recently I’ve been hardcore watching what I’m eating. I’m vegan, so I’m trying to make healthy choices there. Seriously addicted to Kale chips, avacados, and smoothies (soy). Along with a major diet overhaul I’ve also been doing Insanity. I’m a Tae Bo girl, love love love Billy Blanks. But, I was really tired of the same DVD I’ve always had. So I got to researching Insanity, and I happened to run across something very helpful on tumblr…………
I just finished day 2 of the workout. HOLY SH!#F^$#. The first day was hard, but this first polymetric core workout… All I could think was I needed to call Fiance because I needed to tell him I love him before I DIE. I made it through, my clothes are drenched, and my legs no longer work. But I think It’s a really fun work out and I’m enjoying it.
I curse like a sailor when I workout, my neighbors must think I’m nuts. Am I alone in this?
Has anyone else done insanity the whole 60 days, and if so tell me about those results!!
also, if anyone wants to share any fitness/weight loss/toning motivation THAT WOULD ROCK, and recipes too, yea yeah!! Recipes!
Happy fitnessing 🙂

@TexasPeach:
Well done! Seems to me that you’re pretty motivated, you should be the one motivating others!!
I don’t have any suggestions, but I’d love to hear about your experience!
Keep up the good work!

@TexasPeach: That’s so awesome! I did a full round of Insanity a couple of years ago. It kicked my ass, but DAMN did my ass look good by the end! haha. Right now I’m just doing Focus T25 (Something to consider once you’re done with Insanity!). I absolutely love Shaun T’s workouts!!

I got a personal trainer at the gym and he is trying to whip my ass in shape LOL He is nuts! Making me push 90 Lbs with my legs and other crazy things!
Sandly I haven’t lost any weight, but I can see muscles that werent there before.
I am not vegan/vegeterian though, but i do watch what i eat. Although I am constantly hungry!
I would suggest Almond milk instead of Soy milk, It’s been proven to be way more healthy then soy.

Great job! I havent done Insanity, I am scared of it haha.
I did lose 4lbs this week though 🙂 The old fashion way of watching what I eat and going to the gym 5 days a week. I used MFP to track everything, and still managed to have a 1/2 cup of frozen yogurt every night!

I’m currently doing insanity with my FI! We are just in week 2, so I can’t comment on the whole program. It kicks your butt but I am already improving at the workouts and have noticed that I am getting more toned and tightening up. The big thing I like is you push it to your edge. People in the video go at all different paces, some take breask. I push myself pretty hard and rarely stop but I don’t feel bad if I need a quick drink of water.
Stick with it…I think it will really produce results since I am already seeing some. That alone is keeping me pretty motivated.
The challenge for me was increasing my calories to meet the demands of the workout. I am eating about 1800-1900/day now and I have lost 2 lbs! Smoothies have been big for me utilizing fruit (frozen or fresh), protein powder, milk and peanut butter. Lots of lean protein like chicken and trukey (so I guess meat substitutes, soy, tofu, tempeh would be good for you) and veggies. I have also been doing yogurt with fruit and nuts, peanut butter on whole wheat sprouted toast with banannas. Berries with yogurt. I am sure you could easily use some coconut or soy yogurt. Beans/legumes are good to make salads and pack protein and are filling. I really like one I made that is pretty easy just avocado, pinto beans, red onion, cilantro, tomatoes tossed with a little olive oil, white balsalmic and lime juice. For lunch today I tried something different. Whole wheat pasta with roasted veggies. I roasted some zucchini squash, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes wtih a little olive oil and garlic and that is my “sauce”.
I was doing South Beach Diet, which was more low carb, but I have found since starting these workouts having a little more fruit and whole grain carbs has helped me feel energergized for the workouts!
