I have a desk job – I literally am probably sitting for about 8 hours of my day (including lunch) but when I’m working out regularly it can suck pretty bad to be sitting there all day! Well, a co-worker just shared this article with me and I figured I’d pass it along to anyone else who sits all day…

@MandaMack: I sit about 80% of the day, with 20% being vigorous activity (ie, takedowns). I have to keep stretched because I never know when a patient might need to be restrained. I do pretty much all of those stretches and can testify that they make you feel better!

@WestCoast: One time I was on an intercontinental flight and they actually showed a video with similar stretches.

I sit all day too! About 10.5 hours a day since I work 10 hour days 4day/week. Plus about 35 mins of sitting while driving to and from work = almost 12 hours of sitting a day! Yikes! No wonder I’ve gained 6 lbs since working here! I need to do something.

Ugh, I sit all day too. It makes me wish I could go back to serving. At least I was on my feet and moving around all day. I bring my dumbells to work and do some workouts during my lunch or downtime. Thanks for the article!
