The paper flower is cute, but I do think it would look tacky. That’s just my honest opinion.

Its fine.  I have seen the broach bouquest as well as, like cloth and button ones. They look nice.

If it goes with your theme i think it works better than just plain fake flowers.

I think it is pretty cool and go for it! I myself had fake flowers…

If it matches the rest of the wedding, then I say go for it~ you can’t go full out elegant and then put paper flowers. You could do whimsical, rustic, etc. I have seen a few paper flower wedidgns and they seem to incorporate well with certain weddings

@hiroshymatetrastar:  I actually prefer the paper to silk as well too. I really appreciate the craftsmanship of the flowers and like, celebrating them for what they are rather than trying to imitate a real flower.

If you don’t like silk flowers because they look fake, wouldn’t you have the same reaction to these?

Honestly, I’ve seen some really well-down silk flowers that don’t look fake at all.  I would rather go the silk flower route than the ones pictured.

You already know how I feel: Team Paper Flowers!!! No one ever remembers what kind of flowers the bride had but they will if they’re different!

I think paper flowers look awesome! It’s sweet of you to take your bridesmaid’s allergies into consideration and sweet of your friend to hand make them all.

I like the design/folding of them, but I think the paper needs more depth.. maybe sprayed or painted?

I think they would look more “cool” or “neat” than tacky. I would be super impressed if all of your flowers were paper flowers someone hand folded.

Honestly I can’t remember any if the flowers of any weddings i’ve been to expect one who had submerged fake flowers that were all frayed.

This was my first thought too… But I see silk flowers as an imitation for real… and I see these paper flowers as something else – kind of like the brooch bouquets or feathers or something.  Make sense?

I say go for it!  Stick with your theme!  Youve got a good friend if theyre willing to make all of these!

I think it’s unique.  If it flows with the rest of the wedding, I think it’s amazing that your friend is willing to do that much work for you.
