Oh gosh, I would be sick with worry. Have you tried calling his phone? Do you have his flight info to look up whether it landed safely?

I would be super worried too, I don’t think you’re being unreasonable. Was he staying at a hotel? Maybe you can call and see if he checked in?

@Anna10-05-2014:  Maybe his phone’s battery died. I’d be worried too!

Yeah, I’d call his hotel.  They may or may not tell you if he’s checked in for saftey reasons, but I’m sure you could leave a message or something.  Maybe his phone doesn’t have service where he is?

@Anna10-05-2014:  My Fiance went out of town last summer and something similar happened. He said he would text me when he got there and I didn’t hear from him for like 24 hours. Turns out his battery died and by the time he got to the hotel he totally passed out. I’m sure your Fiance is ok. Don’t forget that it’s only 7 am on the west coast right now. Give it a couple more hours before you panic.

@Anna10-05-2014:  First, I would make sure the plane landed safely on time.  If you know where he’s staying, call him there.  if you still can’t get a hold of him, did he travel for work?  If so, call the office to see if they have had contact with him.  He should have called you by lunch time yesterday at the latest if he flew out at 4am from VA to Cali.  Even if his cell phone is out, he should be able to call you from a landline or log onto a computer and send a FB message or email.  I would be worried sick.

I would also be a bit worried after 24 hours with no contact from him. I think calling his hotel and/or checking flight information could give some piece of mind. I know that if my phone died or got lost I really don’t have many phone numbers memorized anymore since they’re all just stored in my mobile. Could be something like this happened and he just hasn’t been able to reach you. Also, agree could be bad service and his message(s) didn’t come through…

@Anna10-05-2014:  Oh man that would scare the hell out of me. Do you have his hotel information? I would give them a call and ask if he checked in and try to get a hold of him that way. Sometimes messages don’t make it or maybe his phone died.

I’d be worried too. However, I’m thinking that he’s more likely to be having problems with cellphone coverage than he is to have had any sort of accident. Also, if he’s gone out of town to work, could it be that he’s actually not got access to his phone for most of the day?

Could you phone where he is staying and leave a message for him to call you?
