@Anna10-05-2014:  Have you confirmed his plane landed safely/ there were no delays? Also, he could have issues with his cell, try sending him an email!

If I were in your shoes I’d also be worried, can you call the hotel to confirm he checked in? I’d also try to settle a bit knowing that if he went for work, perhaps he’s disposed and cannot contact you right away.

@Anna10-05-2014: Just so you know you arent alone:

I work out of town and my Fiance asked me to call him at 9:30 pm after his weekly “guys night” dinner. I called and texted a few times and no answer. So I texted our friend asking if he made it home okay (they carpool) and he said yes. Then, instead of assuming he was asleep, in the shower or his phone died, I went into “he must be laying on the floor unconcious” mode. I called him 17 times and was about to ask our friend to check on him when he called back.

It turns out, he fell asleep on the couch with our cat and his phone was upstairs on vibrate.

We have all been super worried when it turned out to be nothing. I hope you hear from him soon.

@Anna10-05-2014:  I would be freaking out.  He should have been there a looooooong time ago.  Any way you could contact his employer and see if they have the info where he is staying?  Maybe try calling his parents to see if they have heard from him?  Hope you hear from him soon!

@Anna10-05-2014:  If you have his destination and departure airports and wanted to PM me that info I could do some sleuthing and make sure his flight arrived on time – flight tracking is a bit of a hobby of mine 🙂

Last minute work trip? He’s not contacting you and you have no idea where he went? That sounds fishy to me, sorry.

He left yesterday morning at 4:am to Cali. It doesn’t take that long of a flight to get from VA to Cali.  It’s been over 24 hours…

Hope you hear something though.

ETA: my xDH went on last minute trips for work, he emailed me his itinerary before he left and where he was staying.

I’d be worried too but he’s probably fine like PP have said. Fingers crossed!

Ugh I always freak out when stuff like this happened and it always ends up that my Fiance had his phone on silent or something.  Then when I finally get ahold of him he can’t understand why I’m crying.  He’s finally figured out that I worry when that happens and is much much better about staying in contact.  I’m sure he’s fine, just having a cell issue.

@Anna10-05-2014:  You’re going to make yourself sick honey!  I’m sure he’s fine, maybe his flight got delayed, there is a MONSTER storm looming over the West, maybe there’s some weird hang up getting to a gate to deplane…maybe, he found a Cinnabun and is just getting it over with and pigging out and doesn’t want to get frosting on his phone….he’ll get a text off to you, and soon…its alright!

@rickhurst35:  I agree.  Unfortunately sounds fishy.  You don’t know where he’s staying. His flight info. Nothing ??

@Anna10-05-2014:  My husband travels a lot (I do, too) and I frequently don’t hear from him for a week at a time.  I’m bad about remembering to text/call him before he’s asleep when I’m on the west coast, too.  Then during the day our schedules never match up – I get busy (it is work) and it’s 9pm PST (midnight) before I even have a second to think to call.

If a plane crashed, you’d hear about it.  If he died in a car crash, you’d hear about it.  I know you’re worried, but you’d know if something bad happened, promise.

My phone always dies on planes whether I shut it off or not.  It probably died, then he couldn’t plug it in ’till he got to his hotel, where he thought, “I’ll call her when it charges enough to turn on..zzzzzzz”  And then he woke up late for work, or too early to call you.  Or thought he had called you last night in his sleep deprived stupor, or was just in a rush.  Or his phone never did charge – I’ve had hotel room plugs dick me over like that.

@rickhurst35:  +1. No matter how last minute, he should have told you info like his flight number and the name of his hotel.
