@Anna10-05-2014:  Not to be all debbie downer here but you said you called him and it rang twice then went to voicemail. If his phone was dead or there was no reception, wouldn’t it go straight to voicemail? I thought hearing one or two rings then going to voicemail meant the person pressed “ignore.”

@TLDR:  Yes but if he is in the middle of working, he likely can’t take a call.

@Anna10-05-2014:  if he’s working – then wouldn’t he have a laptop or ipad? doesn’t he get data on his phone? does the hotel have wifi? i mean – starbucks has wifi! even if he didn’t have service, i would expect an email.

additionally – hotel rooms have land lines.

i hope he’s alright, but when you do talk to him, i would point all of that out. it’s awful that he’s worried you this way, when there are so many ways for him to have checked in with you.

i hope you hear something soon!

Yikes.. Was hoping this was a good update.

This isn’t my relationship but, how would you have no idea where he is? I would be worried sick. Also, how does it not come up in casual conversation that oh I’m going to so and so or staying at so and so.

It doesn’t take any time at all to forward a flight confirmation or a hotel confirmation as he receives it. I would be both worried and infuriated at this point.

@Anna10-05-2014:   Being out of touch for several days would bother me, not for the being suspicious element, but just in case something *did* happen to either one of us.  Part of a relationship is “being there” for emotional support.  I realize it is unlikely, but in case of dire need, I like to be able to contact my Fiance.  I usually don’t, but it is reassuring to know where he is, and when is is expected back – more or less.  We’ve had dead battery and out of range of cell phone issues, but stay pretty much in touch.

I hope you hear from him soon!!  🙂

Does he not have a computer or a way to e-mail?  Even the cheapest of the cheap hotels have a “business center” with a computer and internet access.  Bad phone reception is not a good excuse.  My DH would have definitely found a way to contact me by now, even if he was “busy with work”. At 6am in Cali, it is 9am here…unless his plane landed and he’s been at work for over 30 hours, he should be able to take the time to call/text/email, something.

Keep us updated OP, I hope everything is ok!

@Anna10-05-2014:  I just wanted to weigh in that this is true. My fiance’s bookstore has no reception in certain rooms and his phone iwll still ring a time or two before going to voicemail – even when he is expecting me to call and basically staring at it. It will ring for me but he never gets it. 🙂
