What were your hair trial experiences like?
I am disappointed with my hair trial experience. I thought it would be a closer replica of what it will look like on the day but my stylist kept saying “Oh, on the day of, this will be pinned…on the day of, the curls will be tighter.” She only spent like half an hour on it. She also kept saying how my hair was difficult to work with because it was so fine and oily (wtf…I have never heard that before from a stylist and felt kind of offended!)
She took a few pics to remind herself of my hairstyle and then pulled out my hair clip and all the pins before I got a chance to take a picture! A few hours later the curls had all but fallen out.
I don’t really have the option of going with a different stylist because
A) It’s a month until my wedding and I don’t have time to find anyone else, have another trial, etc.
B) All my bridesmaids are booked there already for their hair
C) I loved the makeup artist there and really want her to do my makeup on the wedding day.
What should I do? Hope and pray the day of is better/lasts longer than the trial? Or try and do it myself? ugh I dunno

Are you *sure* you can’t find another stylist? I definitely would! All those things you mentioned are big warning signs to me! A month isn’t that bad- even if they’re pretty busy then you can maybe schedule an appt. for 2 weeks from now, then still have time! Also, even if your girls have already scheduled theirs (and cant move their appointments), I would rather have my hair be done at a different place than where the other girls are and like it than spend 1-2 hours with the girls at the hair place and hate my hair and have it fall down a few hours later!

I would look into hiring someone else!! I’d be mad spending $$ on a trial if you did for someone to play around with my hair and not give me even a close idea on how it will look the day of!

I wouldn’t have walked out of that salon! My fiance went to get a haircut once and I was watching the lady butcher his hair. He got so fed up he just paid and left and I told him the same thing. They are giving you a service which you are paying for. As a customer you should be happy with what you receive! Call the salon, express your concern and if they are unwilling to get you back in for another trial, find a new stylist!
