I am worried about my arms in a sleeveless dress. The dress is beautiful, but I am going to get married in the winter. (New Years Eve, actually! )
I heard that adding lace sleeves make your arms look bigger.
I am really starting to freak, as a “satin bolero” wouldn’t look right with the dress!
What should I do? I would like to weigh in on any advice you ladies might have… one month out, and I am so worried!

First – I think your arms look fine so if that is your only concern, I’d stop worrying about it!
But if you want something to have something to help keep you a bit warmer or something, what about a colored bolero? Bakerella had a red one with her dress and it was gorgeous! What is your color scheme? Could you coordinate a bolero to it?

What about a 3/4 sleeve? Lace would be lovely with your dress. I don’t think your arms would look any bigger. But I think that a jacket that goes to your wrists would look be too much.

Thank you! It really is the fat rolls over the back of the dress, the corset…and my huge shoulders and forarms. I am a size 20, and it is hard to find anything in my size, but I never thought of another color! Thank you for your input!
@cincity75: 3/4 sleeve sounds nice! I might try looking for that option, too. And I think I agree on the lace to the wrists!

your arms don’t look big at all!!!

If you’re worried because of your arms, don’t be. You look BEAUTIFUL in these pictures! If you would be more comfortable with a little jacket, 3/4 sleeve like other posters have suggested, do what makes you feel most comfortable, for sure.
If you’re worried because it’s winter and you might be cold, eh, you’re in Alabama, woman up! (Spoken affectionately from a Minnesota girl who used to live in South Carolina and crack up at the natives *freezing* at 60 degrees.)

My friend wore a white faux fur bolero (or it might have just been a wrap, I’m not even sure) in her winter wedding, and it was SO gorgeous!

I think your arms look fine! You look great in the dress. But if you’re going to be self-conscious all night – then definitely get something to wear so you’re more comfortable. I really like the PP’s idea of a different coloured bolero. And 3/4 sleeves for sure. Good luck!

i think you look beautiful in your pictures! no need to cover up. but being a february bride (in the cold) i bought a cute long sleeve red cardigan just to have in case i get cold. could you do something like that? maybe a white one? or whatever your colors are?

You look gorgeous!!! If push comes to shove you can get a fur bolero that would be adorable as well.

I agree w/ bride123 what about a faux fur wrap, its like a very short shaw. Personally I love the look of pics outside with brides in these, stunning! And it will completely cover the top of your arms, so that you don’t feel self conscious.
