In january, you could simply step outside for a few minutes if you felt a little queezy. Or have a fan available in a corner of the room in case it’s needed. Also some of the heat lamps can be turned off if the temp is warm inside.

MY daughter had some issues at her outdoor reception similar to what you are afraid of. She became overheated, lightheaded and “couldn’t breathe”. We had to cool her down with water, fanning, loosening the back of her corset dress, taking off the slip under her dress, etc. Took about 30 min. Her wedding planner saved the day with giving her a very sugary drink to get her blood sugar up.

My advice.. Drink lots of fluids, don’t forget to eat both before the ceremony and during the reception. If you know you get overheated, have a plan for where you can go to get some cool fresh air. Have someone assigned to make sure you keep cool and keep drinking. Have someone bring a small cooler with some ice and keep some wet towels in there. You can put them on the back of your neck if you start to get overheated.

I will be getting married in Oct of next year. Yes it should be cooler outside, but the problem with that is the heater in the place and wearing a heavy dress. Trust me. When the heat is on in a building and when your wearing a heavy dress it is not a good mix. You bees know what Im talking about right? U put on a warm sweater because its cold outside but then you go somewhere and its so hot inside!! Like I love turtle necks but at work I get sooo hot wearing them during the winter! Its like I have to wear summer tops during tha winter time because they have the heat up so high!!!!

Thats what Im worried about my wedding.

So my idea is keeping the temp down alittle to where its bearable(have to ask if thats even possible though) and another choice is to go outside.
