Here is a close up of the detail on my Robert Bullock Caroline dress. The whole dress has pleated organza.
In the past, when I had a pleated cottony skirt that I took to the cleaners, all the pleats were lost. Granted they were vertical pleats, but I am still worried that my horizontal pleats might get ruined during the cleaning and preservation process.
Any other brides out there with similar detailing get their dresses cleaned? How did it turn out? Thanks!

Would you consider paying a little more and taking it to a wedding dress specialist? They have experience with all kinds of delicate fabrics. I paid $200 for my lace dress, maybe more than what I could’ve found elsewhere, but I just didn’t wanna chance it. I know some other Bees posted about a wedding dress cleaning and preservation company that does it for about $150, I think it was this one: http://www.affordablepreservation.com/

I agree you should take it to a wedding dress specialist. I know there is one in Glen Ellen (not sure if that is spelled right). I drove past it everyday when I was in town working, but I am sure there has to be several in your area.

Take it to a wedding gown specialist–look on yelp for reviews.
But I gotta tell you, most wedding bridal salons toss their dresses in the washing machine. Seriously.
