@bridepower: At this point, try to eat only lean protein (chicken/ turkey/ fish) and vegetables (complex carbs) and cut out all bread, unheathly food.  Also, start drinking a lot of water – aim for 2 big 2 liter bottles a day and then 2 days before the wedding reduce the water drastically so that if you were retaining it (assuming you hadn’t been drinking a lot of water prior to this) it will help.

Honestly though, I think what you are going through is really normal.  I’m crazy about making sure I don’t gain weight and on my wedding day I was 4.5 lbs heavier than my final fitting.  I was so stressed out, I wasn’t working out at all, was drinking a few glasses of wine every night and chowing down like every meal was my last.  Go figure.  I actually ended up losing it on our honeymoon.

On the day though, my dress was a little snugger than I wanted it, but no one knew except me and I didn’t even care. 

Just try to take some time for YOU in these next 8 days.  If that means leaving the house to go for a long walk by yourself, do it.  Go get a massage or something.  Take some time away for yourself where you don’t think of the wedding and it will help keep you grounded.
