hey there bees!
I’m lately thinking why I’m not as freaking out about weight as other brides and what is wrong with me?? Just a few words describing me: I would truly consider myself full figured, but I should mention that i already lost ca. 100lbs over the years (it was my negative peak when I was 15 or so), now I’m 30 and definitely not a size zero;-) I’m not sure in what size my dress will come, but I think it’s a 14. Years and years I fought against my weight, lost 20lbs, ganined them again. But hey, that does not change the fact that I once weighed 280lbs right? And the best thing; my fiance loves me the way I am. He is freaking out when I reach the point of saying ” oh no, I can’t eat that, it’s to much…”. He likes food as well an we like to cook which each other (trying to do that in a healthy way, low carb…), even if we both could loose some weight. Sure I would appreciate loosing some pounds up to our wedding, but at the moment I just don’t have the nerves to concentrate on loosing weight. Doing my bodystreet every week and trying to tone up a little bit (I hate my arms!), but not planing on beeing slim (which I will never be!). So is there something wrong with me??
Thanks bees for your thoughts;-) (and please forgive me my mistakes in writing. I’m from Germany and do not have that much practice;-)

weldone on your weight loss. i dont think you should bother yourself much. whats most impt is that your happy and loved.
that being said, im a bride trying to drop 2 dress sizes before my wedding in June, this is because im not happy at this size. im a 18 us and want to be a 14 especially as i want to wear a fit and flare dress thats really snug!
u seem happy to me, except bout the arms, which i can relate to, solution, buy dumbells and knock the arms off, ( im on the same plan also btw, hate mine too)
altogether, weddings are stressful, ive come to learn this, so no need adding on extra pressure you can live without.
good luck with everything.

@Bernie1407: posts like yours help me put it all in perspective 🙂 Thank you!
I’ve always been fairly petite, but in the last two years I’ve had a really tough time and gained 20lbs… I hate having the extra weight, and we’re now 12 weeks out from the wedding and I’m hoping the weight is going to magically disappear!
I know it’s not, so now I’m just focussing on being really healthy… And toning my arms up a little for my strapless dress!
I’m sure you’ll look amazing on your special day 🙂

I have always been very concious about my weight. I lost a lot then gained it back over 2 years. I was worried how our pictures would turn out from our wedding day, how I’d look. I was somewhat upset that I hadn’t set myself up with a hard workout routine to loose some pounds before the big day. (I am a 22) After the wedding when people started posting pics on fb I thought wow I really did look good. My dress fit me awesome with the body type I have. Even when I look back I think I really did feel so beautiful and glowing that day. ( And it is hard for me to think that I am beautiful) You can see that we are so happy. You will look fabulous! I Hope you have a wonderful big day!

Honey, there is NEVER anything wrong with loving yourself as you are! You aren’t doing anything wrong – you are doing everything right. Congratulations on your weight loss, that is amazing! I actually started at the same highest weight as you and have lost about 31 lb. so far – trying for another 100 or more before my wedding. If you are comfortable with your body and feel good, then great! No need to push yourself to change if you and your fiancé are happy (unless there’s a serious medical reason). Focus on being healthy vs. losing weight and you’ll be just fine 🙂

thanks ladies:-) you are so sweet!
@yinkaina: I can really understand you! had gotten to that point a lot of times, being not satisfied with my weight and my body. Last time 1 1/2 h years ago, lost after that 26lbs. probably gained most of it;-) but despite that, I think I’m reaching a point where I can accept that I’m not a size 0 and will never be. There are small people, and big people. That’s the way it is:-)
@miss.alice: let’s work together on our arms;-) good luck with that! we will surely look fabulous:-)
@butterflyDoll: from what I can see on your profile picture, you REALLY looked great! That’s probably because you FELT beautiful and radiant. I think that’s the key! There are women out there much havier than we are who are just beaming! Missing charisma can make the most beautiful face look ugly.
@jocember: I wish you all the best for your plans! I’m sure you can do this:-) have to underline your issue with the health. and besides: you have such a pretty face! No matter how much weight you are going to loose, I’m pretty sure you will look beutiful on your wedding!

@Bernie1407: You are the sweetest thing, thank you so much 🙂 Also, I did a little thread stalking and saw pics you posted of you in your dress – can I say gorgeous? You are going to be absolutely stunning on your day. So don’t worry and just enjoy the rest of your planning process!
