First of all, I know I’m being silly and crazy because I’ve got no idea what size the ring is now. Soon (Hopefully!) I will be joyously proposed to by my awesome BF who will be giving me his grandmother’s tiffany solitaire (YAY!). It’s a plain solitaire, no side stones. However, I have really tiny size 4 fingers and I know that you aren’t suppossed to get a ring resized more than 2 sizes. The women in his family are all sort of broader set athletic looking ladies and I’m worried the ring will be too big to size. Any thoughts to quell my crazy?

I think even if she has a larger build, women tended to be a LOT smaller back in his grandmother’s day! So I wouldn’t worry too much about the size.

@LittleE3: I’m sure you could find a jewelry store who could figure something out for you!

@LittleE3: At the very worst wouldn’t you just have to buy a new setting? You’d still have the heirloom diamond.

@jadlnc: True! Its just a classic yellow gold tiffany setting that I really like! I wish I could try it on!
