I think your fine. It’s not like you did a shot, or even had a big gulp of it. I wouldn’t worry to much.

I really wouldn’t worry, it was just a sip! Stressing over it won’t be good for you or the baby.

One sip is nothing.  Depending on how far along you are, some women actually have full drinks during their pregnancies.  Don’t stress!

I would not worry. The concern would be if you consistently exposed the fetus to alcohol you would be at risk for Fetal Acohol Syndrome. One sip should do no harm. Think about all the women who have a cocktail before they even knew they were pregnant and have healthy babies.

I suspect the stress about it may be more harmful than the sip itself was. If you are concerned call your OB/GYN and they will offer you assurance so you can rest easily.

WOw that’s nothing to stress about. Fetal alcohol syndrome takes a hell of alot more alcohol than a sip or even a drink to induce.  There are many studies out there on fas.  Many have concluded that even one drink a day wouldn’t harm a fetus.

Stop being paranoid over little things. The stress you are causing yourself would do more damage than what you consumed.

Medically they know that significant amounts of alcohol is dangerous but they don’t know the limit so they say none. A sip is 100% fine. They believe that even a glass could be fine. I would not stress at all.

ExpectingBee:  Agree with PPs, don’t stress, it was only a sip. The stress is more harmful than the sip of alcohol.

I had a mai tai when I was in Hawaii and I was about 4 wks pregnant but didn’t know it. I should’ve known something was off cuz I didn’t like it lol. My baby is now 13 months and she’s completely fine!

A sip won’t harm your baby! You will both be fine.

You are fine, in some countries women have been known to drink wine while pregnant. A tiny sip isn’t going to hurt anything please stop worrying.

ExpectingBee:  I think that you’ll be just fine! However, just to east your mind call you OB and tell them what happened. Coming from a professional will completely put your mind at ease. The nurse in my OB’s office knew my voice (without having to introduce myself) within the first couple months because I called so much. Lol.

I have never been pregnant or in your situation, but I agree with others, you should be fine. I think stress can have a big impact on the body, so what would be best for you and the baby is to think it through and let it go. It’s best to be relaxed and not stressed at this time. Have you ever seen that show “I didn’t know I was pregnant.” Many women drink, smoke, etc.. through pregnancy and don’t have issues. One sip will not be the downfall of your baby’s health.

My friend got pregnant on the pill and didn’t know until 8 weeks in…it was senior week in college when she didn’t know she was pregnant and I literally can’t even begin to count how many drinks she had that week…she has a perfectly fine 4 year old now!! Don’t stress-it was only a sip!!

ExpectingBee: the stress is probably worse than the sip, seriously. Please don’t worry!!
