I’m really worried I’m going to ruin my make up at the wedding. I tend to be a big cryer – I tear up at emotional tv shows, movies, reading sad things, or even when Fiance tells me something sweet about how much he loves me. So I’m pretty certain I will not make it through the ceremony, especially our personally written vows, without crying.
I’m thinking of using Urban Decay’s All nighter, but I’m not sure if that’ll do the trick. Any one have experience with it, or any other tricks? Anything to reassure me that when we take a million pictures after the ceremony I won’t look like a crazy person with black makeup under my eyes??

Are you doing the make yourself or using a make up artist?

I’ll be using a makeup artist. I’m just not 100% trusting that she’ll make it cry proof.

I don’t have a ton of experience with a lot of make up but I do know that M.A.C has a liquid eyeliner that lasts FOREVER!!! I once used it and went swimming and I tend to rub my eyes a lot and the make-up didn’t even budge a little!!! It’s awesome but even still… Kind of a pain the the keester to remove when youre ready to take it off. It takes some good elbow grease and some heavy duty make-up remover! Lemme know how it goes because I fear I’ll have the same problem

You should talk to her about it because I bet she probably has other brides ask about it also.
You would need hings like water proof mascura, primer for your eye shawdow will help it stay on longer, sweatproof foundation my cousin got some at sephora for her upcoming wedding I think it’s called makupforever skin and body(or something like that), also make sure you get water proof eyeliner, if you are doing a strong color for your lip get a lipstain that will stay on longer. Also bring a Qtips and tissues and a touch up bag.
That is all I can think up now, visit Sephora or if you prefer a makeup counter and ask them about sweat/water proof makeup that tends to run less then normal things. Good luk!

No advice but I’m interested in the responses. I’m a huge cry baby, too. I’ll be crying a lot at my wedding.

I would do airbrush makeup if possible. Its seriously perfect for weddings.
completely unflattering pic but this is me after completely bawling at my brother’s ceremony. We used airbrush make up!

@Future MrsB: if you are still around, what did you end up doing and did it work?

I know this is an old post, but there is makeup stay stuff you can spray on over your make up. Last time I had my makeup done (not airbrush) she sprayed it on and the makeup was stuck for a looong time. MAC sells one, but I think she used this http://www.stagemakeuponline.com/02-FY/Final-Seal-Matte-Makeup-Sealer.html it’s $7 and legit was like glue!
