Ok ladies, this is more just a nervous vent than anything. I’m supposed to get my period this week, and I have had no signs of anything. I usually have lower back pain and mild cramping for 2-3 days before my period starts. Nothing. I’ve been very tired for the past few weeks, urinating frequently, and have been nauseous the past three mornings. I am worried that I might be pregnant. I know I need to wait a few more days…I’m just freaking out.
Our wedding is in a few months! What the heck would I do??? I’m starting a new job in a few weeks…These next few days are going to be torture!
Maybe I’m just stressed out or have a virus…I hope!

I went through the exact same thing this summer! For some reason, it came exactly 1 week later. Totally freaked me out!

It might just be stress, especially with the wedding coming soon and starting a new job. Thats a lot to handle! Have you been working out more than usual lately? That sometimes does funky things to me, but it usually goes back to normal in a month or 2.

I wouldn’t worry yet, because the additional stress it just going to prevent your period from coming. They have tests out there that allow you to test up to 4 days before your missed period, this might help ease your mind a little bit.

I would say it could be stress, but buy a couple tests just in case. Are you eating enough before you go to bed? I know a lot of girls that are trying to lose weight for the wedding and sometimes they don’t eat enough protein throughout the day, and that will cause you to feel a little nauseated in the mornings.
Good luck and keep us posted!

I’ve SO been there. I’m pretty sure nausea and frequent urination are symptoms that happen after your first missed period. I’ve never been pregnant though, so that’s just something I read on the internet during one of my own freak outs.

Are you on the pill? If not, anything can delay ovulation, not everyone ovulates on day 14 of their cycle. I chart mine and will sometimes have a week delay for no apparent reason.
I wish you well. Even if you are pregnant, you wouldn’t be showing in June, or just barely.

@futuremjm:I just got the baby bug so I think being preggo would be such a blessing. I love the sight of anything baby related now. For your situation I hope you get what you heart desires.

You are reading my mind. I’m in the exact same sit right now – I only had brown spotting and mild cramping and have also been urinating more frequently it seems. I also think i’m hungrier than usual.
I think I might be just scaring myself into symptoms – is it possible that you are doing the same? Either way, take an EPT as soon as you can. My wedding is in June also! Eek! Good luck with this – whatever your desire is.

Thanks for the responses, ladies. I think I’m going to go buy a test at lunch, though I know they’re not that reliable at this point. I literally feel like I’m going to have to run from my desk to vomit this morning.

I just feel so stupid. I was unhappy with my BC, so stopped it abruptly. We then used the withdrawl method for a week or so. I figured it was good enough, but maybe it wasn’t?
ugh, so stressful!

Take a deep breath! I think its stress but only you know your body! 🙂

Stopping your bc could also do that (just like you can have side effects from starting it, you can have side effects from stopping it)… infact any kind of stress or change to your normal body routine can do that.
If it’s been atleast 7 days from the time of intercourse you’re worried about then you can go ahead and take a test and it should run accurately (they taught me that working in the lab at the hospital)
Otherwise, take note of a huge change like changing your bc intake, along with other stresses and let it go and wait and see… Our minds can make our body’s think and act like we’re pregnant just by worrying about it 😉

This happens to me a lot actually, but only when I’m stressed. Then my period is even later because I start stressing about being pregnant. Try your best to keep calm, take an anxiety pill, whatever you need to do to calm yourself down.

Let’s hope it’s stress! I get myself worked up like that all the time and my Fiance has to keep me in check.
