You are way ahead of me and I’m due at the very beginning of April. So far I’ve emptied the room that will be the babies and booked a prenatal class. I figured everything else can wait until the new year.

Relax and enjoy the holiday season, you’ll still have plenty of time in the new year to get ready.

Relax and don’t worry about it. As long as baby has a place to sleep, everything else is just icing. My son is 3 months old and hasn’t spent a single night in his nursery yet! (He has been sleeping in our bedroom so far.) Right now the nursery is just where his clothes and diaper pail are, and where we rock him sometimes.

I know exactly how you feel. I also, felt that rush to get things ready, especially before the third trimester. She is due in January and most of the nursery was just done about a month ago. I still do not feel fully prepared! I have been going around the house on my days off looking for things to do when there is nothing that needs to be done!

Oh honey! You’re fine! don’t worry! it’s totally natural to get everything in order but all the baby is going to need for the first 6 months is boobs or bottles, diapers, and love ๐Ÿ™‚ just enjoy this awesome time and congrats!

Also on those last few weeks you’ll get everything done trust me! I worked until 1 week before my due date and my Dear Daughter was 2 weeks late so for 3 weeks I was BORED! ha! I folded and re folded and organized 15 different times etc. Trust me you have plenty done!

I am due before you and I haven’t done half the stuff you’ve done!  Don’t worry.  You have time.  Just make your checklist and get stuff done when you get it done!  I am not too worried since I know he’ll be sleeping in the pack and play in our room for the first 2 months so his nursery doesn’t need to be done before we have him.  And I have a shower in January.

you’re doing great! i have items the baby needs, but the nursery is far from “done” and i’m due mid-january! my Father-In-Law is painting the crib and we have to take down everything on the walls in our office/nursery to make sure it’s baby safe. i plan on doing those things in the beginning of january!

I’m right there with ya darlin’ i’m due march 11 2013, and i’m freaking out i feel like we arent going to have her room ready in time or have the baby stuff we actually need. Room still needs to be cleaned out so we can paint etc. We don’t have ANY baby stuff we actually need. just some diapers, clothes, and baby lotions/body wash. We just got marriet at the beginning of October and we got 2 things off of our registry so i am freaking out! everyone keeps telling me you will be fine thats what a baby shower is for…i can’t help but think uhm every baby shower i have been to 85% of the gifts where just clothes. Plus my mom is throwing the baby shower the second week in Feb and it is quite possible that baby girl comes early. I was born 2 1/2 months early and my husband was born way way early like 27 weeks. I hope its just prego hormones that make me freak out over this stuff

I worked until 3 weeks before my due date, and TRUST ME, once you get off work, the holidays are over, and things are slowing down, you will be looking for stuff to do! I went on two walks a day and obsessed over making sure everything was folded neatly and the room was set up perfectly, I was SO bored and excited. The nesting instinct will also hit you harder in the last couple of weeks and you’ll have a lot of motivation to get the clothes washed and folded, etc. I know how you feel about worrying you won’t be ready, we had problems getting my crib on time (ours got discontinued and we had to order a new one), but it came and we still had lots of time to spare. My shower was actually 2 weeks before I gave birth (I had her at 38 weeks), and I was worried it wouldn’t come in time and that I wouldn’t have time to shop for the things I didn’t receive, but I got all my shopping done the day after because I was just so excited! Congrats btw!!!

You’ll be fine!  I’m due in Feb, and only have off 2 days before!  I wish I had more time!

You’ve got plenty of time between now and then to get everything in order!  Just take a deep breath and relax!
